Promise Auction at the White Hart

12 October 2012

A recent promise auction in aid of St. Teath Carnival raised approximately £1300 towards carnival costs. There were nearly 50 varying lots sold ranging from a Punnet of Raspberries to a builder for a day.

Tricia Richardson bought two men for half a day, much to Roger's confusion. While Lyn Burden's Egg and Bacon Rounders were sold and promptly passed around the pub for everybody to enjoy.

Some of the other lots were activity based, two of which were purchased by Tim Martin including Surf Lessons and paintballing (we wonder which he is going to make Connie do first!)

Once again the Carnival Committee were amazed by everybodys' generosity. The amount of money raised in such a small village never fails to impress, and we would like to thank everybody who either donated or bought an auction lot. Not forgetting our two auctioneers on the night, Gerald Blewett and Bob Fox.
