Switch-on: 30 November 2013
The Christmas Lights organisers excelled themselves with a magnificent display following the switch-on on a clear dry evening. The Square was packed for the Christmas Market with refreshments and entertainment by the bell ringers, the choir and a children's lantern parade.
The St Teath Christmas Lights team have been working in seriously wet conditions (including 37 mm rain on Saturday, 24 November) to make sure all was ready for the switch-on on Saturday, 1st December. The photo shows final positioning of the tree by L>R Lee Hughes, Tracy Kitto, Roger Lyle (Lighting Committee Chair), Kerry Carthew, Ben Waudby, Patrica Richardson, Richard Morey, Phil Harris and Chris Wheeler (up top?).
In addition to the switch-on there was live music from The Choir, Party People and Hand Bell ringers - stalls with hot food and drinks including mulled wine and mince pies - and a special early visit by Father Christmas.

Switch on, December 1, 2011
A large and enthusiastic crowd gathered in The Square for this traditional start to the village festive season where they were entertained by music and carols sung by the choir under the direction of Alan Dawe.
All the fund raising and the erection of the lights is done by a small band of loyal volunteers under the direction of chairman Roger Lyle and the lights committee who would like to thank all those who helped in any way and those who came to support the event.

Christmas Lights 2010
2 December 2010
Although temperatures hovered around -1°C a good crowd turned out to see the turning on of the newly upgraded village lights in The Square. Roger Lyle, organiser on the Village Lights Committee, addressed the crowd and thanked all those who had worked at fund raising events throughout the year, braved the bitter weather, and put in over 200 man hours of work to install the lights.
