*Part of the workforce of The Vale Of Belvoir and Newark Plaster Company c1902-the bearded gent front row 2nd left is William Lord from St Teath who was recruited from Cornwall by Richard Almond the pit owner. The child is my father b1900 and behind him my grandfather who married William Lord's daughter.

†My ancestors, the Tremain family owned Knight's Mill from around 1780 to the mid 1850's. In the process of researching their history I came across a photo of Knight's Mill. I thought you might like a copy so I've attached a copy to this email. I do not know when the photo was taken - maybe around 1900? You might have a better idea. The old family home was across the road from the mill house buildings.
My gt. gt. grandparents Richard Tremain & Diana Craddock married in St Teath and came to New South Wales in 1841. They set up a very successful furniture business in Pitt St., Sydney. I don't have any photos of Richard & Diana but I do have a photo of Richard's brother William Tremain and his wife Elizabeth nee Westlake. William and Elizabeth came to New South Wales in 1856. William started a flour mill in Bathurst NSW.
